Why Fitness Is Essential for My Football Journey

Fitness isn’t just a part of my football training—it’s the foundation of everything I do on the pitch.

To play at a high level, I need more than just technical skills. I need the stamina to last 90 minutes, the strength to win physical battles, the speed to beat my marker, and the agility to react in a split second. That’s where fitness comes in.

Being in top physical shape gives me a real advantage. It helps me:

  • Stay sharp under pressure

  • Recover faster between matches and training sessions

  • Avoid injuries and keep my body strong

  • Maintain focus and intensity throughout the game

  • Perform consistently, even in tough conditions

Every workout I do off the pitch—whether it’s strength training, sprint drills, mobility work, or endurance runs—is directly connected to how I perform during games. The better my fitness, the more confident and competitive I feel.
